Bring real industry experience into your classroom

Practical workshops and curriculum licensing for colleges and universities — taught by a working film and TV professional with modelling credits on Netflix and DreamWorks productions, and additional credits at Disney and Marvel.

Who This Is For

If you're a course leader, curriculum designer, or department head looking to give your students hands-on experience with industry workflows — not just software tutorials — this is built for you.

3D modelling is one of the most in-demand technical skills in film, TV, games, and animation. The gap between what students learn and what studios actually expect is wide. These workshops and licensing options are designed to close it.

Workshop formats

Guest Speaker Session

Duration: 2 hours
Best for: Inspiration days, enrichment weeks, career-focused sessions

A presentation and open conversation led by Hayley Adams — a VFX and 3D modelling professional who has spent over a decade working across multiple studios and disciplines on some of the most recognised productions in film and TV. Credits include modelling work on Netflix and DreamWorks productions, plus matchmove and layout work on Marvel and Star Wars titles, at studios including Industrial Light & Magic and Jellyfish Pictures.

The honest version of that career — the pivots between roles, the reality of working in a studio environment, and what it actually takes to build a place in the industry — told first-hand by someone who's been in it. For students who rarely see women working at this level in VFX, it's also a chance to ask questions they might not otherwise get to ask.

Includes open Q&A, and can be shaped around the specific focus of your course or year group.

Multi-Day Workshop

A hands-on multi day workshop where students work through a professional 3D modelling pipeline from scratch — blockout, detail, UV layout, and clean-up — building assets to the same standard expected on a film or TV production. No prior experience required.

Taught by someone who has worked to those standards professionally, not just taught them academically. Students leave with a completed piece of work, a clear understanding of the pipeline, and a realistic picture of where these skills can take them.

Pairs well with existing digital arts, animation, or game design content.

Duration: 2 - 5 Days
Best for: Dedicated modules, skills intensives, enrichment weeks

Curriculum Licensing - 3D Modelling Academy

The 3D Modelling Academy is an online learning community built around the same production workflows and standards covered in the workshops. Institutional licensing gives your students continued access beyond the classroom — structured courses, weekly live sessions, a full archive of recordings, and an active professional community to learn alongside.

Available annually and priced for institutional budgets. Get in touch to talk through what a partnership could look like for your department.

What Students Are Saying

“I was surprised at how simple it was. Wasn't too complicated and very easy to understand.”

— Joshua H., Year 2 Joshua came in nervous — by his own admission, 3D software wasn't his strong point. He left with a finished model.

“It's a good skill to learn if it could apply to the field of work that they are looking forward to getting into.”

— Alyssa M., Beginner

Alyssa was worried about keeping up across the sessions. She left having built geometry she didn't expect.

“How simple it became when it was fully explained.”

— Alfie W., Year 2 Came in wanting pro-level tips. Left with the tools to actually use them.
